  1. Yessss I learned to dive around Sipadan and Mabul was awesome!! Nudis and frogfish are super cool, makes me want to dive into some nice warm waters right now :)

  2. Great underwater shots! Can you tell me which camera you use? So many great creatures to see where were diving. I’m in awe of how much marine life I’ve not seen yet. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I don’t have anything very fancy for underwater photography, I was using my sister’s Canon IXY Digital 25 IS in underwater mode and with a flash diffuser! I mean I thought my shots were decent, but when I handed my camera off to my instructor, he played around with the settings in manual mode and the photos were even more stunning, I couldn’t believe they were taken with the same camera!

  3. Beautiful images! I love muck diving. Lembeh looks like it has loads of great critters, nudi’s are my all time favourite!

  4. Awesome article! I had the same path than you. I was first attracted by the biggies and wanted to dive with manta rays and sharks. Now that I’ve ticked these ones off the bucket list and I’ve become a better diver, I’m super interested in the small creatures. It’s incredible how many things you can find down there when you look carefully for small ones. I loved your photos. Macro-photography has definitely helped me to get better at spotting nudibranchs and shrimps :D
You’ve got incredible creatures captured here. The pipe ghost fish is amazing. I don’t know how your guide managed to see it. I wonder if I would even see it with his fingers pointing to it! Amazing!

    1. Sometimes the guides point at stuff underwater and I’m just like, what on earth is that supposed to be anything? So I usually just snap a shot and then go back to inspect and ask them when we are above water :p

There are just so many interesting small creatures out there!
