It might be a bit of a strange thing to go to Bangkok to eat Crepes of all things, but Crepes and Co was highly recommended by our host, so we decided to go check it out for breakfast.
The journey to Crepes and Co was a little more memorable because we attempted to walk there from our place of residence. After half an hour of walking, we decided we were hopelessly lost and grabbed a cab. We only realized later that we had been walking in a completely wrong direction anyway, so it was a good thing we gave up quick!
Even then, our cab driver was not particularly cooperative about driving down the narrow sois, so we had to walk a bit, but what an interesting place it turned out to be!
Crepes and Co has a very garden like atmosphere outside, so if the weather is good you could sit alfresco and enjoy the lush gardens. We sat indoors though, rather hot and sweaty from our long lost walk!
Among the four of us, we decided to each pick a crepe and share, 2 savoury and 2 sweet ones. Their crepes turned out to be quite large – 4 of us had a quarter each quite comfortably and I’m pretty sure I would have been stuffed if I had just one on my own. The crepes were thin and crispy yet a little chewy, yum.
For the savoury crepes we had the Supreme Crepe (310 baht) which was like your traditional ham and cheese type crepe with additional bacon and mushrooms, and the Sukhumvit one (205 baht) which was a little unusual as it had a very local Thai flavour.
For the sweet crepes we had the Lemon Curd one (140baht) and a totally delectable Chocolate-Orange one (265 baht) drizzled wtih a lot of chocolate sauce and icing sugar – my idea of heaven.
They do serve other breakfast and food items beyond crepes though – I was pondering the all-day breakfast menu… check out their full menu here. There’s also quite an extensive drink menu.
All in all, Crepes and Co is a very charming place to visit and serves pretty good food – I would come back here again if I could! However, they’re moving out of their current bungalow along Soi 12 which will be redeveloped, and in August you’ll be able to find them at Langsuan instead.
But their current address:
Crepes & Co (@ soi 12) : 18 Sukhumvit Soi 12, Bangkok (9am – midnight)
You can also find them at
Thonglor: Eight Thonglor Bldg, 88 Thonglor Soi 8, Bangkok (9am – 11pm)
I’ll end this post with a bit of a running gag throughout our trip: Asians taking pictures of Asians taking pictures of food:
