Wallpaper Wanderer – Lofoten Rorbuer of Norway

Did the little mermaid of Copenhagen get you thinking about going to Scandinavia? If not, this particular picture from today’s Wallpaper Wanderer just might! Medha is a friend and former schoolmate of mine, and in her own words, likes food and photography, and her travels often gets decided by the particular country’s cuisine. You can find more of her musings at her site 25.vinylcouch.org, but here she shares a picture from her recent trip that continues to inspire her:

Medha:

Lofoten’s Rorbuer (Fishermen Cabins), Lofoten Islands, Norway

Lofoten Islands of Northern Norway is an amazing place to go. Tad too far, but so amazing. It only has one highway running through the islands so it makes for easy adventures. Of course, when you’re a bit of a scaredy-cat like me, driving and knowing you’re just a railing away from the cliff’s edge is all sorts of scary.

This picture is unreal. Like postcard worthy unrealness! I can’t imagine what it must have been like being there, this picturesque scene before you, feeling like you’re in a perfect picture book. That water is so still…
