Keith Loutit is a Sydney photographer and filmmaker now based in Singapore, and he’s produced a really interesting series of videos documenting various cities around the world in miniature. Check out the Singapore one! It’s really awesome…
I’ve seen timelapse videos, but this one is a little more unusual… and I love that it’s done quite a great job capturing the spirit of my hometown Singapore, it’s got a good mix of he touristy stuff people see and snippets of Singapore as we know it. Besides the whole tilt-shift going on (i.e. the effect that makes it look like a model diorama), I kinda like the way the landscape faded in and out, giving it a really magical feel.
Head on over to his website at keithloutit.com and check out the ‘Personal‘ tab which has random scenes from the various Small World videos… what’s useful is that each video is labelled so even if you didn’t manage to recognize the place in the video, you’ll know where it was taken when you refer here! Or follow his Facebook page here.
