Travel Journalling with Daycraft

So I’ve kept pretty extensive travel journals for my longer trips – You can check out the Taiwan ones here, and right now I’m in process of documenting the latest Osaka trip journals (check them out here!) and you’ll see little sketches and stuff pop up from time to time.

I have a whole cupboard full of empty journals just waiting to be used for trips – at last count I had about 15-20 in total! But for this last trip, I used a Daycraft notebook this time around:

I love the debossed map on the cover!
On the inside front cover – Love the quote!
The pages had light grids on them, so that helps with writing in a straight line and sketching.
I liked the pocket at the back which was useful for keeping some of the loose stuff

In this day with cool and useful apps that you can use for travel journalling like Everplaces, why would one still want to keep a physical journal?

Well for one, there’s nothing compared to actually writing things out and being able to sketch:

Also, you can take pix with your phone/ipad but you can’t keep actual mementos:

And you can’t collect real ink stamps! Check out the full album of ink stamps on facebook here.

Interested in these pretty journals? Drop me a comment here if you are, because I’m hoping to bring them into TOTshop soon!

Thanks to Daycraft for the sample journal pieces. Love their extensive and pretty range!
