Swimming with Jellyfish

Sorry about the slow updates, my birthday just went by and it was a whirlwind of a week, especially since I’ve seem to caught some sort of flu the day before my birthday, boo.

If you thought diving in a part-time lake was cool, check out this Jellyfish lake in Palau, Micronesia where you can swim with a lake’s worth of jellyfish. Now if there’s one thing I’ve picked up from diving is that you don’t want to go near these things! Quite often they’re mistaken for plastic bags, but you do not want to get stung by one of these babies!

But those in the Jellyfish Lake have lost their stingers through evolution, and you can safely swim through them. Check out Sarosh Jacob’s wondrous video that he took of his swim through these jellyfish, it’s quite ethereal and pretty damn cool.

Definitely on the list of places to visit one day!
