Suspended weightless in the water. Surrounded by vast blue waters. Sustained only by the regulator in your mouth. Sometimes, I still can’t believe that I am there with the fish, at the bottom of the ocean.
Eat, Sleep, Dive. Repeat.
To me, that’s what’s so great about a dive holiday. The bulk of your time is spent diving or resting between dives, so you don’t have to worry about itineraries or where to go, it’s just put on your gear and follow the boat out for a day of sun, sand and sea.
As The Occasional Traveller name implies, I’m also an Occasional Diver. It’s something I picked up in university 6 years ago and since then I’ve clocked about 20+ dives, recently achieving my Advanced Level Diver certification. It’s not a lot really, but I hope to dive more frequently in years to come! I’m hoping to make it an annual affair at least, even if it has to be a weekend thing!
Am definitely looking forward to clocking up more dive hours in my logbook!
